Michigan Trip

Chona's trip to Michigan in July 2007 to visit Ethel Flores and her sister Aileen was fun and exciting. They had not seen each other since they graduated from high school in 1988 when Aileen was still in the 3rd year. They couldn't believe it's been almost 20 years that they have not seen each other, but it seems like it was only yesterday when they met again. They reminisce as much as they could remember about their childhood and life on the island. On the first day, Ethel, a Food Trade major in high school, showed off her expertice in cooking and whipped up four delecious meals in less than two hours. On the second day, Chona and Ethel went to see Aileen and her family in their own hub and feasted on the mouth watering Filipino dishes that Ted and Aileen cooked. At the end of the day, Aileen and her husband Ted drove Chona back to the train station an hour away from their place and she headed back to Chicago to join Chona's husband again.
